BERTRAND REPORT 01/14/2017 NORTH KOREA EMBOLDENED BY OBAMA'S INEPTNESS

Subject: John Spring: ICBM Test North Korea

January 14th, 2017

Over four years ago, on December 12, 2012, North Korea launched its first satellite into orbit. Almost a year ago, on February 6, 2016, Pyongyang launched its second satellite known as the Kwangymyongsong-4 or KMS-4 (Bright Star-4 or Lodestar-4) into space. It is a satellite for observing the Earth’s surface. So, if a nation is able to launch a satellite into orbit as has already been accomplished by North Korea, it would be only a matter of time before Pyongyang is able to produce a long-range missile or an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) that is capable of striking the United States.
Due to advanced techniques in miniaturization technology, North Korea has also produced a thermonuclear warhead that can be mounted on its KN-14 ICBM that could probably strike any part of the United States. Earlier in 2015, the U.S. Department of Defense concluded that Pyongyang’s KN-08 long-range missile could strike most areas in America. On April 9, 2016, North Korean scientists were able to successfully test an engine for an ICBM so Kim Jong Un is now rather confident that his nation will be able to test its very long-range missile rather soon.
Right now, during the presidential transition, the United States is in a vulnerable position due to the fact that the Obama Administration has continued with a lax approach to missile defense. As a result, the system that was designed to defend American cities and towns is “simply unable to protect the U.S. public” and will continue to remain ineffective until the forthcoming Trump Administration and Congress are determined to basically re-start a program that would provide for the common defense of America.
In the meantime, all of us need to become aware of U.S. Representative Mike Pompeo, General James Mattis and former ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson before they are about to be approved by the U.S. Senate for Central Intelligence Director, Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State because their positions will require the most talented persons to serve during these times.
However, please be aware that Kim Jon Un does not completely understand the political system in Washington because President Barack Obama does not leave his office until January 20th. But Kim may think that he is challenging President-Elect Donald J. Trump right now.
