Conservatives,
Democrats in Congress, led by Harry Reid, are
trying to bring back runaway federal spending by gutting the Budget
Control Act of 2011, the historic agreement to cap discretionary
spending that both parties agreed to and the president signed, under
enormous pressure from the American people. Since the Budget Control
Act has been in effect we have watched goverment spending as a
percentage of our GDP drop from 24.4% to 20.3%. It's still too high,
but it’s a huge step in the right direction.
Thank you for fighting by our side for another
month. With Congress coming back from their summer vacation soon, we
have a lot of important battles that you can lend your voice to and make
a difference.
