Cal Poly Pomona temporarily suspends 'free speech zone' policy
image A month after a Cal Poly Pomona student sued the university over a policy that limited political speech to permit-holders standing in a defined area on campus, the university has said it will not enforce the policy while the matter is being litigated.

Christie's modest means test for Social Security
image I never figured on collecting Social Security anyway. But then last week I heard New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in New Hampshire proposing "a modest means test" before people can receive their "modest monthly Social Security check."

Nine Baltimore shootings reported Thursday
image At least nine shootings were reported Thursday across Baltimore, continuing a spate of gun violence that began after riots overtook West Baltimore on April 27. At least two were fatal.
