GRASSTOPS USA 04/01/2015 STAND FOR CHRISTIANITY NOT GAY RIGHTS!

Swift Manifesto

It's happening folks and the media refuses to tell the truth. In recent years, radical "gay rights" activists and extreme leftists have targeted Christians and used the courts as a bludgeon weapon to beat those who simply disagree with them into submission and force them to act in direct opposition to their deeply-held religious beliefs.

And what's the latest salvo in this battle? Governor Mike Pence and the State of Indiana are under attack because they dared... dared... to pass a law that simply gives people of faith the legal standing to fight those who seek to bully, intimidate and strip them of their 1st Amendment rights in a court of law, but don't believe for one second that what is going on right now does not concern you. Mike Pence isn't the only one under attack. If you are a person of faith or if you simply value the 1st Amendment, the TARGET IS ON YOUR BACK.

And in the face of this imminent threat to our liberties, our elected officials are hiding under their desks... They're totally silent... and that is simply unacceptable. It's time to send a clear message to Washington that we want them to take a stand and THEIR SILENCE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

"What Really Has Them Ticked Off... About The Religious Freedom Restoration Act In Total Right Now Is That This Is How Private Citizens Can Defend Themselves Against Harassment And Intimidation By Gay Activists." -Rush Limbaugh

If you've been watching the news, you've been told that the Religious Freedom Restoration Act is "discriminatory," but nothing is further from the truth. In fact, the media narrative is a total fabrication. The Wall Street Journal, in an editorial column titled "The New Intolerance," said it best: "Indiana isn't targeting gays. Liberals are targeting religion."

And unless you've been living in a cave, you could not help but notice what has been going on in recent years. Radical homosexual activists have been INTENTIONALLY targeting Christian-owned businesses and demanding that these business owners directly violate their sincerely-held religious beliefs in order to accommodate unreasonable and idiotic requests; and then, they haul these innocent people into court to force compliance.

Rush Limbaugh again: "Gay marriage came along and gay couples purposely targeted certain businesses to challenge this. In Denver, if you're getting married and you're gay, there are plenty of places you can go that'll bake a cake for you, but you pick the place that won't to give yourself a cause, and you gin everything up, and then you claim you're being discriminated against... They lost their business. They were so tarred and feathered, so stigmatized that they lost their business. And this was by design." [Emphasis Ours]

Here are just a few recent examples, courtesy of the American Family Association:

       - Washington: Florist Barronell Stutzman fined by the state for not providing flowers for a 'gay' wedding. Now her home and personal savings are at risk.

       - New Mexico: Photographer Elaine Huguenin was ordered by the state to give a lesbian $7,000 for declining to take pictures of a lesbian wedding.

       - Oregon: Aaron and Melissa Klein were fined $150,000 by the state for refusal to bake a cake for a lesbian wedding based on religious objections.

       - Kentucky: Blaine Adamson was ordered by the city of Lexington to undergo 'sensitivity training' for refusing to print T-shirts for a gay pride festival.

And for the rabid leftists who will shrug their shoulders and exclaim: What's the big deal, here's some context:

       - Could you even imagine someone going into a Halal delicatessen and demanding that the Muslim proprietor cater their annual pig-pickin?

       - Could you even imagine a group of Neo-Nazis walking into a Jewish bakery and demanding that the owner bake a cake with swastikas for their next meeting?

       - Could you even imagine an African-American theater owner being forced to open up his facility to a group wanting to perform a minstrel show?

       - For that matter, could you even imagine a court of law forcing a "gay minister" to officiate at a ceremony at the Westboro Baptist Church?

The answer to each of those question is a resounding no. You'd be outraged. There would be righteous indignation and certainly any law that protected the 1st Amendment rights of the delicatessen owner or the baker or the theater owner or the minister would be lauded.

So what's the difference here? The answer is none. So why aren't our elected officials showing outrage? The answer is, you haven't called them on the carpet for their COWARDICE... but you can remedy that right here and right now.

There Ought To Be A Law... But Wait A Minute... There Already Is A Law.

The Religious Freedom Restoration Act in Indiana actually mirrors the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993; a law that was introduced by liberal Senator Chuck Schumer, passed the United States House of Representatives unanimously, passed the United States Senate by a 97-3 vote and was enthusiastically signed by then-President Bill Clinton.

And moreover, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act in Indiana also mirrors laws that are in force in at least 19 other states and presently being considered by two other states; and incidentally, the Governor of Connecticut, who has voiced solidarity with those who are attempting to bully and intimidate people of faith presides over a state that has its own Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

It's insane. We're not even asking our politicians to make a law because there is already a law. All we're asking them to do is use their bully pulpits and use their voices to defend decent men and women of faith.

So what's the big deal? Why all the controversy NOW? The answer is simple. It's called HATE... and hate is not rational... it is not logical.

Remember the Chick-Fil-A controversy? Chick-Fil-A actively hired and served people who exhibited same sex attractions. The company even had an active non-discrimination policy in place, but when the founder of Chick-Fil-A, the late-Truett Cathy personally came out in favor of traditional marriage, radical gay rights activists painted a target on his back and tried to drive the restaurant out of business.

Remember Carrie Prejean who was Miss California in 2009 and the first-runner-up in the Miss USA Pageant of 2009. When she stated that she personally believed that marriage is between a man and a woman during the question-and-answer portion at the Miss USA Pageant, the crowd applauded and because the crowd applauded, she drew the ire of one of the judges, a radical homosexual gossip-monger by the name of Perez Hilton.

It didn't matter that Prejean qualified her answer by saying that she's proud to live in a country that allows people to do as they wish and that her belief was only for herself, Hilton purposefully gave her a zero on the question-and-answers portion of the pageant and his immature and sickening actions cost Prejean the Miss USA crown.

But Hilton wasn't done with Prejean... not by a long shot. He then proceeded to slander her on the Internet, even going so far as to draw male organs next to her mouth on her photos and then publish those doctored on the Internet as well.

And Hilton kept going. He aggressively lobbied (personally and through surrogates) to have Prejean's Miss California crown taken away from her; and incidentally, the man who owned the Miss USA Pageant, Donald Trump... a man who is presently trying to convince the American people that he has the moral compass and the courage to be President of the United States capitulated to this bullying and stripped Prejean of her crown.

And so it goes with the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Radical homosexual activists are up-in-arms because, as far as they are concerned, NO ONE... repeat, NO ONE... will be allowed to pass a law that offers protection to the very people that they're attempting to bully and intimidate and pursue with their vile and irrational hatred.

But why are they doing it now? ... because they believe that they CAN... and that's why our political leader must take a stand.

Again... Hate Is Not Reasonable... It Is Not Logical... It Simply Exists And It Must Be Squashed.

Rush Limbaugh, yet again: "It's all political, it's all part of the Democrat left-wing agenda... I don't think there's any question that militants like this, they are bullies, and they attempt to gain victory via intimidation, and they're trying to intimidate anybody who might stand up and oppose them."

For once, Rush is only half-right. There's nothing "political" about this campaign of intimidation and harassment. The motivation behind the attacks on people of faith are based on hate and... hate knows no rational political objective.

Truth be told, there is a very radical minority within the homosexual community that is passionately driven by an irrational hatred of normalcy (and Christianity in particular) and many of the individuals within that minority, because of this radical and passionate hatred, gravitate toward political activism.

These individuals and organizations control much of what is known as the "homosexual political movement," and while they posture and claim that they represent the greater homosexual community, in fact, they DO NOT EVEN REPRESENT THE MAJORITY OF HOMOSEXUALS.

And many of these individuals within the "radical homosexual movement" are not motivated by things as supposedly noble-sounding as, "the right to live my life as I choose" or "the right to love whom I want to love."

They are motivated by hate... intense and irrational hate... and like The Borg in the old television series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, your compliance to their sick opposition to normalcy and decency and freedom is required and resistance is futile.

       - It's the same intense hatred that motivated those who tried to sue the Boy Scouts into bankruptcy for years simply because the Scouts would not allow pedophiles to become Scoutmasters.

       - It's the same intense hatred that motivates people to burn down the homes of ministers (Rev. Chuck McIlhenny for example), desecrate the Eucharist in Catholic Churches and march in "gay-rights parades" where many dress freakishly and defiantly and proudly pantomime perverse acts for all, including even innocent children, to see.

       - It's the same intense hatred that got Crystal Dixon, an African-American women and a high ranking administrator, summarily fired by the University of Toledo for writing a letter to the editor to a newspaper that simply objected to the comparison of so-called "gay rights" with the civil rights struggles of African-Americans.

       - And it's the same intense hatred that led to the termination of Matt Barber from Allstate Insurance Company simply because he wrote an article (on his own time) for a Christian publication on the medical risks of homosexual behavior during non-working hours.

Reason means nothing. A live-and-let-live attitude on your part means nothing. If you say something the radical homosexual movement doesn't like, they'll come after you... your family... your livelihood... and like a schoolyard bully, they'll do it simply because THEY CAN DO IT.

Today, they've set their sights on a long established law simply because it stands in the way of their ability to bully, intimidate, bankrupt and demonize people of faith. Tomorrow... who knows what is next... but don't shocked if those who stand in opposition to what Michael Swift said... so many years ago... are bullied into silence and capitulation.
