REPLACE REID WITH A TRUE CONSERVATIVE - NO RINO NEED APPLY!

Fellow Conservative:

Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) is calling it quits. After spending nearly 30 years in the Senate, he has decided to retire at the end of this term.

We believe Reid's retirement makes the 2016 Senate race in Nevada even more important for conservatives.

The Democrats will now try to replace Reid with someone younger who could hold the seat and support liberal policies for many years to come.

According to a story published by National Journal, "One of the early favorites is shaping up to be former state Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto, a rising star in the [Democrat] party, who has maintained close ties to Reid."

And of course, the Republican establishment in Washington will try to recruit another moderate who won't rock the boat when Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) wants to cut more deals with the Democrats.

There is a lot at stake in Nevada, which is why we're already talking with prospective candidates and looking for a strong conservative to support.

SCF has never endorsed a candidate in the Republican primary in Nevada, but we hope to change that. Our goal is to find a leader who is a principled conservative, has strong grassroots support, and can put together a winning campaign.

We want to find someone who will lead a conservative resurgence in Nevada and fight for freedom on behalf of all Americans.

Your continued support for SCF will help us identify and recruit a strong candidate who won't just flip this seat from Democrat to Republican, but who will truly fight for the principles of freedom that make America great.

DAN COATS TO RETIRE IN INDIANA

Senator Dan Coats (R-IN) also announced this week that he plans to retire in 2016.

Senator Coats is a moderate Republican who voted for the so-called "fiscal cliff" tax hike, the bloated Farm Bill, and for legislation that provided funding for Obamacare and the president's executive amnesty.

In the past four years, he has earned a dismal 49% Liberty Score™ from Conservative Review for his liberal votes.

This is why it's so important that we help the grassroots in Indiana replace Senator Coats with a strong conservative in 2016.

The last time SCF endorsed a candidate in the Republican primary in Indiana, it was against Senator Coats in 2010. We got a late start that year and came up a little short, but this time we have over a year to prepare.

Please consider making a contribution to SCF today to help us do the necessary ground work to identify and recruit strong candidates in these races.

In both of these states, we have the opportunity to replace a liberal career politician with a courageous conservative, and we don't want to miss it.

Thank you for your support. We will keep you updated on these two important races as they develop over the next few weeks.

Sincerely,
Ken Cuccinelli II
