Conservatives,
President Obama is once again emboldening the enemies of Israel by appeasing organizations sworn to the destruction of the Jewish state.
As I wrote to you yesterday, a reorganization of the Palestinian Authority (P.A.) government now includes a union with Hamas, designated by both the United States and Israel as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.
While deceitfully calling for peace with Israel, the P.A. is now aligned with an extremist organization whose doctrine includes vitriolic hatred for the Jews. They openly call for the murder of Israelis.
The Obama administration announced that it will recognize the new P.A. government with its terrorist affiliation – contrary to U.S. policy against funding Hamas and other terrorist organizations! $500 million of our taxpayer dollars will continue to aid the Palestinians while we watch and see what happens with the new Hamas-P.A. government.

In an open letter to President Obama, Senators Benjamin Cardin (D-MD) and Susan Collins (R-ME) say they are “gravely concerned" about the newly formed government's effect on any hope for peace and the fact that the Obama administration is breaking policy.
Senators Cardin and Collins are now the tip of the growing congressional iceberg calling for the defunding of the P.A.

Palestinian
militants launched a rocket on southern Israel yesterday just days
after the newly formed Palestinian Authority (P.A.) announced a “unity"
government with Hamas, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization whose
charter calls for the annihilation of Israel.
The Obama administration has outrageously chosen to continue funding the P.A., which is against American policy, contrary to the the counsel of Members of Congress, and is contemptuous of the Israeli government.

the first such attack since President Mahmoud Abbas formed a new unity
government last week, supported by Hamas, and officially took charge of
Gaza. Israel has warned it would hold Abbas's unity government
responsible for any attacks out of Gaza."
The Israel Air Force retaliated for the rocket attack, striking a target in northern Gaza late Wednesday, reportedly killing one person and wounding three others.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he wanted to remind the international community that Abbas had pledged the new government would uphold previous agreements with Israel. "This means that he is responsible for dismantling Hamas and other terror groups" in Gaza, he said.
