Keep calm and call mom.” “Keep calm and eat bacon.” “Keep calm and put the kettle on.” These sayings originate from the phrase:
“Keep Calm and Carry On.” This message first appeared in Great Britain as World War II began in 1939. British officials printed it
on posters designed to offset panic and discouragement during the war.

Having returned to the land of Israel after a time of captivity, the Israelites had to overcome their own fear and enemy interference as they began to rebuild the temple (Ezra 3:3). Once they finished the foundation, their opponents “hired counselors against them to frustrate their purpose” (4:5). Israel’s enemies also wrote accusing letters to government officials and successfully delayed the project (vv.6,24). Despite this, King Darius eventually issued a decree that allowed them to complete the temple (6:12-14).

When we are engaged in God’s work and we encounter setbacks, we can calmly carry on because, like the Israelites, “We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth” (5:11). Obstacles and delays may discourage us, but we can rest in Jesus’ promise: “I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it” (Matt. 16:18 nlt). It is God’s power that enables His work, not our own.
God’s Spirit gives the power to our witness.

The United States Bullion Depository in Fort Knox, Kentucky, is a fortified building that stores 5,000 tons of gold bullion and other precious items entrusted to the federal government. Fort Knox is protected by a 22-ton door and layers of physical security: alarms, video cameras, minefields, barbed razor wire, electric fences, armed guards, and unmarked Apache helicopters. Based on the level of security, Fort Knox is considered one of the safest places on earth.

As safe as Fort Knox is, there’s another place that’s safer, and it’s filled with something more precious than gold: Heaven holds our gift of eternal life. The apostle Peter encouraged believers in Christ to praise God because we have “a living hope”—a confident expectation that grows and gains strength the more we learn about Jesus (1 Peter 1:3). And our hope is based on the resurrected Christ. His gift of eternal life will never come to ruin as a result of hostile forces. It will never lose its glory or freshness, because God has been keeping and will continue to keep it safe in heaven. No matter what harm may come to us in our life on earth, God is guarding our souls. Our inheritance is safe.  Like a safe within a safe, our salvation is protected by God and we’re secure.

An inheritance in heaven is the safest possible place.
Peter begins his first letter with a complex greeting. After addressing God’s “elect” who are strangers in the world and scattered throughout different areas (v.1), Peter uses the struggles of this life to highlight the glory and security of heaven. He speaks of the permanence of their home and inheritance in heaven—it is “kept” (v.5) and can never spoil or “fade” (v.4). Peter reminds them that they are shielded by God’s own power. He reiterates the confidence Jesus gave His followers in John 10:27-29: Those who belong to God, the elect, are held safe and secure in His hand.
They sent a letter unto him, wherein was written thus; Unto Darius the king, all peace. Be it known unto the king, that we went into the province of Judea, to the house of the great God, which is builded with great stones, and timber is laid in the walls, and this work goeth fast on, and prospereth in their hands. Then asked we those elders, and said unto them thus, Who commanded you to build this house, and to make up these walls? We asked their names also, to certify thee, that we might write the names of the men that were the chief of them. Then came the same Sheshbazzar, and laid the foundation of the house of God which is in Jerusalem: and since that time even until now hath it been in building, and yet it is not finished. Now therefore, if it seem good to the king, let there be search made in the king's treasure house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.

motivational posters from World War II.
This says 'Keep Calm and Eat Bacon'.

The Keep Calm and Carry On poster was produced in 1939 during the beginning of World War II, and was a last case scenario to be used only should the Nazis succeed in invading Great Britain, in order to stiffen resolve. 2.5 million copies were printed, although the poster was distributed only in limited numbers. The poster was third in a series of three. The previous two posters from the series, Your Courage, Your Cheerfulness, Your Resolution Will Bring Us Victory and Freedom is in Peril were issued and used across the country for motivational purposes. In 2001, a copy of the Keep Calm and Carry On poster was rediscovered in Barter Books, a second-hand bookshop in Alnwick, Northumberland, and was reprinted.

The recent rise in xenophobic rhetoric from EU politicians could pave the way for violence and human rights violations, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay warned Tuesday in Geneva.

Deconstruction:
The meddling of the Unipolar World (the EU and the US) in Ukraine by these peace loving folks in the deceptrocracy has already snuffed out over a hundred lives in Kiev and hundreds more in southeastern Ukraine. If it had not been for Russian intervention in Crimea, the violence there would also be insufferable.

Pillay then cites the German Nazi whose party only got one seat in the EU Parliament in the recent election, as if this lone wolf were a sign of things to come. She deceitfully conflates this lone Nazi with Marine LePen, whose party Front National has in fact been careful to avoid association with radicals. She whines that LePen compares Muslims praying in French streets with the Nazi occupation. Firstly, EU member states quickly quell any signs of public Christian activity wherever it may arise, by contrast with the tolerance of public Islamic manifestations. The fact is, as anyone who reads my columns in American Daily Herald knows, the EU counts among its founders numerous “former” Nazis who served with distinction under Hitler, including Walter Hallstein, a law prof who wrote the anti-Semitic Blood and Honor law. Hallstein was named as the first president of the EU (then EEC) Commission. How is that for hypocrisy? But it gets worse. [...]

Solar Shockwave Coming On Friday The 13th – NASA Footage
Three massive solar flares have been recorded, with reports of aircraft communications and military radio in Europe being disrupted, and an expectation of a possible huge magnetic shockwave which could hit Earth on Friday the 13th of June, 2014. According to Mail Online this shockwave "could knock out mobile phone satellites and GPS communications." A 'coronal mass ejection' (CME), a huge cloud of irradiated particles and a magnetic shockwave, could strike the planet on Friday, damaging satellites and knocking out communications. The three solar flares already caused brief disruptions to high frequency communications, such as radio broadcasts and aircraft communications, when they struck yesterday and twice on Tuesday.
