PETITION - VOTE YES ON KEYSTONE PIPELINE PROJECT

Grassfire Update:

If you missed our earlier update, Grassfire has learned that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) is plotting to bring the Keystone XL pipeline to a vote next week.

Although the announcement drew an immediate negative response from the White House, Reid seemed unfazed -- reiterating his desire to move "energy-efficiency legislation" forward in the days ahead.

Please see important details and action items below. Or click here now to sign the national petition demanding that President Obama "Set Our Oil Free." Take action to urge the Senate to vote "YES!" on the Keystone XL pipeline.

A critical Senate vote on the Keystone XL pipeline is expected next week! Make sure your petition is on hand for Grassfire's upcoming hand-delivery in support of American energy independence. Click here to sign now. Then, read the message below for important details.

Dear\Conservatives,

Building pressure from Senate Republicans, vulnerable Democrats and union heads has all but forced Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) to bring a vote on the Keystone XL pipeline to the floor as soon as next week.

However, as soon as Reid announced plans to vote on the high-profile oil conduit, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney urged the Senate not to, saying "it would inject politics into the process and could delay the final decision."

For more than five years, the Obama administration has done nothing but politicize the Keystone XL pipeline. It's likely that Carney is just now responding because Reid is forcing Obama's hand and dragging the President into making a decision. That's where you come in.

Leading to this important pro-energy vote, we're calling on our team members to sign the national "Set Our Oil Free" petition! SPEAK UP by going here and adding your name in support of the Keystone XL pipeline:

Despite a clear Senate majority in support of the 1,200-mile, 36-inch-diameter oil pipeline, Reid may fall just short of the two-thirds majority needed to silence President Obama's veto pen.

Strong grassroots support for the pipeline has never been more important. If you want to tie Obama's hands, and see the Keystone XL pipeline bring America closer to energy independence, go here now and be counted.

Your petition will be hand-delivered to key Senate leaders leading to the vote early next week!

+ + More Than A Pipeline: Keystone XL Is A Lifeline

In a written statement, Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN), reminded us why the Keystone XL pipeline is vital to our nation's long-term health and well-being:

"This [vote] will allow us to move ahead with construction on the pipeline so we can expand access to North American energy, create jobs and promote economic growth, all while providing a safer and more environmentally friendly method of transporting oil."

With your help to "move the needle" of support for Keystone XL to a two-thirds majority, Corker's words could become a reality.

Thank you, in advance, for taking a stand.
