NEVADA - SUE LOWDEN FOR LT GOVERNOR BUSY FOR YOU!

BUSY WEEK ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL!
As you know, it’s been a busy week on the campaign trail!   I’m excited about a recent poll that shows we are leading; however, I learned over the years not to take anything for granted. The only poll that matters is the one that happens when you cast your vote.

Review Journal Columnist  John L. Smith wrote a piece last week that highlighted the new poll and our current momentum.  I feel his column really captured the essence of who I am today and where we are with the campaign.  His complimentary remarks (which I’ve attached) are a reflection of the hard work and seasoned effort of so many people.  I am truly grateful.

HUTCHISON DUCKING DEBATES
Mark Hutchison Ducks Live Debate on Ralston Reports

On Monday night we were scheduled to debate Mark Hutchison. Unfortunately, he elected to duck the live debate on Channel 3’s Ralston Reports. I’ve always felt that candidates owe it to voters to engage in a spirited debate to allow voters to see who the candidates are and where they stand.  Although Hutchison backed out, I took the opportunity to go on the show and talk about the issues that matter.  It is interesting to note that in his opening for the show Monday night, Jon Ralston summed up Hutchison’s absence perfectly.

THREE STRIKES, YOU'RE OUT
Hutchison voted for Obamacare THREE times

My opponent, if you don’t already know, has started airing his commercial message that says he fought Obamacare. That’s actually true. As he stated, he fought it and he lost.  What he doesn’t mention in his commercial is that after his failed effort at the Nevada Supreme Court, Hutchison went to our legislature and voted not once, not twice, but three times for Obamacare! We are now going to the airways with our own campaign message that details Hutchison’s disappointing flip flop on Obamacare.

RAPE VICTIM SLAMS HUTCHISON
Claims Hutchison Wussed Out on "Campus Carry" Bill
I’ve received hundreds of calls and emails recently from students and others who have been touched by a brave letter written by Reno rape survivor Amanda Collins. In her letter, she criticizes Mark Hutchison for refusing to sponsor a campus carry bill, which would have allowed women who are trained and licensed to carry a firearm, the right to carry one for protection on campus. Amanda Collins was brutally raped late one night on campus by an attacker who later killed another victim.  Had she been allowed to carry her own gun, she believes she would have had the chance to defend herself and possibly avert the deadly attack that happened to another woman.  I’ve attached her letter in its entirety for you to view.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
In just 8 weeks early voting will be underway! Despite Mark Hutchison’s refusal to appear for a scheduled debate with me, we will be spending the coming weeks doing everything we possibly can to educate voters about the differences that separate me from my opponent.  I want you to know that I will work FULL-TIME as your Lieutenant Governor, fighting for low taxes and working families in Nevada.  Thank you for your support and for playing a key role in the positive momentum that is building in our campaign.  Nevadans deserve nothing less.
