Schools in liberal northern state most racially segregated

New York state has the most segregated public schools in the nation, with many black and Latino students attending schools with virtually no white classmates, according to a report released Wednesday. The report by the Civil Rights Project at the University of California at Los Angeles looks at enrollment trends from 1989 to 2010.

Meanwhile, her husband is about to abandon U.S. control over administration of the Internet, and his administration consistently earns a reputation for being the most secretive and opaque since Richard Nixon's.

Labor board rules college athletes are employees, can form union

Northwestern football players have a right to form a labor union, a regional director of the National Labor Relations Board ruled Wednesday in Chicago. The next step is Northwestern players holding an election to vote on whether to form a union.
