TELL CONGRESS - NO GUN FREE ZONES!

Act now: Tell the U.S. House and Senate you want them to shut down 31,000 gun-free zones and legalize defense. Send Faxes Here.

Conservative American,

Federal "gun-free zones" are dangerous, bad policies.

If it weren't for "gun-free zones", the shootings in Newtown, Aurora, and Navy Yard may have very well been avoided.

Rather than protect lives, these zones invite criminals to violently prey on unarmed citizens. And let's not forget, every so-called "gun-free zone" is only "gun-free" until a criminal decides he wants to ignore the policies that create them... something criminals do naturally.

What "gun-free zones" really are are "defense-free zones" where law-abiding citizens are prohibited from protecting their own persons via a lawfully-carried, properly-used firearm.

This is all to say that individuals would be safer, and society better off, if gun-free zones were eliminated.

The good news is, right now there is a piece of legislation in the Senate - introduced by Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) last week - that would eliminate some thirty-one thousand federal "gun-free zones" across the country.

A four-page amendment to the Postal Reform Act, Senator Paul wants to reverse the bad federal policy that prohibits lawful-carry inside of USPS locations.

Right now, it's important that you contact federal lawmakers on this issue and tell them to support Sen. Paul's amendment. If we win this, imagine how many other dangerous "defense-free zones" we could eliminate.

Act now: Send faxes to U.S. lawmakers urging them eliminate the federal prohibition against lawful firearms carry at USPS locations.

Tell the House and Senate you want them to shut down 31,000 gun-free zones and legalize defense.

Going Postal?

Last week, the anti-gun group Moms Demand Action railed against Sen. Paul's amendment in defense of "gun-free" post offices.

A meme on the Bloomberg-backed group's facebook page reads "history confirms ... guns, post offices, and anger don't mix," alluding to a 1986 shooting that took place in Edmond, Oklahoma.

However - and this is from the USPS' own report - "going postal is a myth." According to the USPS, "postal employees are only a third as likely as those in the national workforce to be victims of homicide at work."

Statistics aside, common sense and morality suggests that lifting the prohibition on self-defense is the best thing the federal government can do to ensure safety at post offices.

And what about principle?

In light of the Second Amendment, the federal government has no power whatsoever to "infringe" upon the individual's right to "keep and bear arms" at post offices since the USPS being a quasi-governmental corporation.

Lawmakers right now have an opportunity to get behind a small amendment that would shake the existence of federal "gun-free zones" by lifting the federal prohibition of self-defense the approximately 31,000 USPS locations nationwide.

Act now: Send faxes to U.S. lawmakers urging them eliminate the federal prohibition against lawful firearms carry at USPS locations.

Tell the House and Senate you want them to shut down 31,000 gun-free zones and legalize defense.

The anti-gunners have won the argument against the Second Amendment and self-defense for far too long... and their misled policies have literally cost lives.

Take action today and tell your U.S. Representative and Senators to start legalizing defense and start eliminating gun-free zones, starting with those at USPS locations - send your no-cost petition and send your letters here.

It is our responsibility to defend our liberties, and restore those liberties that have already been taken.
