Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) – Amendment No. 1 – Strikes the text of the underlying bill and eliminates the exemption for certain advisers to private equity funds, requires all private equity fund advisers to register with the SEC, and directs the SEC to create a simplified registration and disclosure regime for small advisers to private equity funds with $150 million to $1 billion in assets under management, does not eliminate ongoing compliance or SEC examinations of advisers to private equity funds. – REJECTED 186 – 225
