John
Kerry dared to ask Israeli officials, “Why do you want to build in what
will eventually be Palestine?” This comment and others he made further
exposes the Obama administration’s views on the “occupied” or
“disputed” territories between Israel and Palestine. It includes East
Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
Not
surprisingly, this exchange is not found in the mainstream media – yet
it contains very inflammatory statements made by Kerry towards Israel.
No wonder Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reportedly
“apoplectic” over recent developments in U.S. “diplomacy.”

There
has been an extremely disturbing exchange between U.S Secretary of
State John Kerry and Israeli and Palestinian officials, as well as
journalists from Israel’s Channel 2 and the Palestinian Broadcasting
Company. The entire dialogue is being reported by The Times of Israel.
Secretary
of State John Kerry’s contentious remarks during his recent visit to
Israel revolve around Israeli settlements in the West Bank. The Israelis
viewed Kerry’s comments as a “bitter attack” on their policies.
Kerry’s
question of “Why do you want to build in what will eventually be
Palestine?” harkens back to Obama’s first term comment that peace
between Israel and the Palestinians would come if Israel returned the
West Bank to its pre-1967 borders, which would include a divided
Jerusalem.
Here is how The Jerusalem Post described the exchange…
“US
Secretary of State John Kerry launched an unusually pointed public
attack on Israeli policies in the West Bank Thursday, calling
settlements “illegitimate” and warning that if current peace talks fail,
Israel could face a third intifada and growing international
isolation.”
Kerry warned of war and slammed the Israeli leadership…
“[D]oes
Israel want a third intifada? If we do not resolve the issues between
Palestinians and Israelis, if we do not find a way to find peace, there
will be an increasing isolation of Israel, there will be an increasing
campaign of delegitimization of Israel that’s been taking place on an
international basis.”
An Israeli official answered by using Kerry’s own words, “We will not succumb to fear tactics.”
Any
“delegitimization” of Israel on an international basis has stemmed from
the Obama administration’s extremely misguided Middle East policies.
Actions speak louder than words when it comes to the Obama
administration’s contention that our relationship with Israel is as
strong today as ever.
The world sees our actions, and knows better than to accept Barack Obama’s spin of reality.
Here’s
the shocking conclusion reached by the American Secretary of State… he
candidly says the United States sides with the Palestinians in this
dispute!
“Now,
the Palestinian leadership made it absolutely clear: they believe the
settlements are illegal. They object to the settlements, and they are in
no way condoning the settlements, but they knew that Israel would make
some announcements. They knew it. But they don’t agree with it. And they
don’t support it. They disagreed with it. In fact, they said, ‘We don’t
agree. We do not think you should be doing settlements.’
“We,
the United States, say the same thing. We do not believe the
settlements are legitimate. We think they’re illegitimate. And we
believe that the entire peace process would in fact be easier if these
settlements were not taking place. Now that’s our position…”
