Dozens of law enforcement agencies are taking part in a manhunt in southern Roseville after an officer was shot shortly after 3 p.m. Friday.
At 3:09 p.m., Roseville dispatch called surrounding agencies to report an that a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer was shot, said Lisa Bowman, a spokeswoman for the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
The incident took place near 631 Windsor Drive, said Brian Jacobson, a spokesman for the city of Roseville. He said various agencies were involved in a manhunt for a suspect.
Bowman said deputies were told to behave as if the suspect is still armed.
"Whenever any agency has an officer involved-shooting, everybody rolls," Bowman said.

According to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the officer shot was with the ICE's Homeland Security Investigations while conducting a joint enforcement action with investigators from the Roseville Police Department.
"Roseville police department was the lead on the enforcement action and we were working collaboratively with them, said Virginia Kice, ICE spokesman.
The special agent was rushed to a local hospital.
"He's stable, he's alert, he's sitting up, he's going be all right. That's fortunate," Kice said.
Additional Homeleand Security Investigations agents are en route to the incident scene and will be assisting the Roseville Police Department with the ongoing investigation, officials said.
A perimeter has been set up in the area, with the Riverside Avenue-Cirby Way intersection blocked off. Officers from the Citrus Heights Police, Sacramento Police and California Highway Patrol on the scene, with heavy weapons drawn.
Officers are allowing cars to the leave the area after searching every vehicle, but other cars are prohibited entering the area.
Nicole Rich, 29, of Roseville was trying to return to her Fifth Street home Friday afternoon, but was stopped at the intersection.
"It's a little creepy," she said of the area, which is overun with law enforcement personnel from throughout the Sacramento area and where helicopters are hovering,
Traffic on Interstate 80 is heavy as a result of the incident.
