1.  Healthcare.gov: Beware the Shiny Object
Right now much of the commentariat, both left and right, are focused on the abysmal performance of the Healthcare.gov website, the arrogance and self-satisfaction of HHS Secretary Kathleen Sibelius, and the improbability that the Slacker-in-Chief had no clue as to what was going to happen.

This is all fun stuff but the epic incompetence of this administration isn’t news. A year after the fact, the recovery from Hurricane Sandy has stalled. A victory was given away in Iraq. Guns were provided to Mexican cartels for grins. American citizens were killed in Benghazi. A friendly regime was given away to islamists in Egypt. Intervention in Syria on the side of al-Qaeda was seriously contemplated. The tax and spend Cargo Cult economics practiced has prevented a recovery. That this bunch of rubes could screw up a very complex IT project is hardly unexpected. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

2.  Cuccinelli Closing In on McAuliffe
I’ve been struggling to find good news in the Virginia Governor’s race and there is finally a bit. Cuccinelli has closed the gap with McAuliffe and is only 4 points behind now, even with the third party candidate at 9%.

Hallelujah. . .

Let’s do what we can to help him win. He is within striking distance, there is still time, and he could use any spare cash you might have on hand to close out this last week of the race. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

3.  ‘We can’t just drill our way to lower gas prices.’ Says who?!
"But you and I both know that with only 2% of the world’s oil reserves, we can’t just drill our way to lower gas prices – not when consume 20 percent of the world’s oil."

– Barack Obama, March 10, 2012

Oh, really?

That was the refrain during the election season of 2012, with average gasoline prices crowding $4.00 per gallon and no relief in sight. Democrats painted Republicans as wackos for thinking $2.50/gallon gasoline possible. But eighteen months have passed since the President’s misleading pronouncement . . . please click here for the rest of the post

4.  For all of your “Explain to folks how bad Sebelius was today” needs. #obamacare
The NRCC went ahead and created a useful list called the “7 Most Ridiculous Things Kathleen Sebelius Said At Today’s Hearing:” there were more than seven, of course, but these were particularly… well, ‘good’ is not really the right term, eh? Anyway, this one’s my favorite . . . please click here for the rest of the post
