CINCINNATI -- Before trick-or-treating this Halloween with your children, you might want to know whose door you're knocking on.
Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana list thousands of sex offenders using an interactive map -- a tool that allows you to search and pinpoint the locations of registered sex offenders in your neighborhood and beyond.
According to state officials, registered sex offenders are required to update their address in the registry within three days of moving to a new home or face legal consequences.

INSTRUCTIONS: To view the sex offenders in your Kentucky neighborhood, first click on the flashing link that reads "Click here to show a map radius of a particular address." Then enter your address into the corresponding boxes.

INSTRUCTIONS: To view the sex offenders in your Indiana neighborhood, scroll down to the bottom of the page, click "I agree to the above terms and conditions," then hit continue. Then enter your address into the corresponding boxes.
When you search the state database, you have several options. If you are looking for a particular person, you can type in as much or as little information as you know.
