The
Florida based National Black Republican Association has sent Articles
of Impeachment to the Judiciary Committee in the US House of
Representatives. The NBRA has decided to publish an advertisement in the
Washington Times and provide a copy of the ad to every member of
Congress as they return to work on Tuesday.Frances Rice, Chair of NBRA stated, “Anyone may download and use the ad, which is camera ready, and pay for it to be in their local newspaper or magazine. The PDF was created by the Washington Times for their use in publishing it in their paper.”

STICKER SHOCK: OVER $1 BILLION TO IMPLEMENT COMMON CORE IN FLORIDA
On Wednesday of last week, State Representative Debbie
Mayfield, from Vero Beach of Indian River County, introduced House Bill
25 which would “pause” the implementation of the Common Core State
Standards (CCSS) until two requirements are met. Read the bill here.The first requirement calls for the Board of Education to hold public hearings in each congressional district of the State. This requirement is an attempt to restore the public’s confidence in our political system, as many parents and opponents of the CCSS have correctly pointed out that the CCSS were implemented as a result of a stealth campaign since parents and educators did not have an opportunity to participate in their review and adoption. GOVERNOR RICK SCOTT HECKLED OVER COMMON CORE
Governor Rick Scott came to Orlando to address the
Americans For Prosperity 7th Annual Defending the American Dream Summit.
Governor Scott spoke about his many accomplishments primarily on his
focus on jobs, cutting the state debt, reducing regulations on
businesses and cutting taxes for both Florida taxpayers and businesses.
He was applauded for his efforts and major accomplishments in two short
years in each these areas.
Near the end of his prepared remarks he addressed
education in Florida. At that point the shouts to “stop Common Core”
became louder and louder. At one point the entire room of over 1,000
attendees began to applaud those heckling Governor Scott about Common
