NO - NO - NO TAXES ACCORDING TO HR 3018 - INANE AND RIDICULOUS!

H.R. 3018 = Double Handgun Tax, Quadruple
Ammo Tax, AND 20X Exisiting Transfer Fee

Our House of Representatives will return to work on September 9th. Once they return from their vacation they will be voting on a new piece of anti-gun legislation that is nothing more than confiscatory taxation.

What the anti-gun interests can't ban, they want to tax it out of existence and that is exactly what William Pascrell and Danny Davis have done with H.R. 3018. These two anti-gun democrats sponsored this "Gun Violence Prevention and Safe Communities Act", which would do neither.

The American people cannot afford more taxes. Ammo prices are already through the roof; now they want to quadruple the tax so certain ammo is out of each for law abiding citizens. You must stop this attack on our rights by telling every representative to vote NO to H.R. 3018! We will have to flood their home offices since they will not be back in Washington September 9th.

This bill would nearly double the current 11% tax on handguns and will more than quadruple the current 11% tax on bullets and cartridges, bringing it to a 50% tax! The penalties do not stop there. This bill would also increase the transfer tax on all weapons covered under the National Firearms Act from $200 to $500 and index to inflation and increase the transfer tax for any other weapon from $5 to $100.

One of the main sponsors, Danny Davis, is quick to defend his anti-gun proposal:

"This legislation is a pro-active approach to reducing gun violence by using proven preventive programs which have been starved for funds until now. As part of a comprehensive, multidimensional strategy to reduce gun violence, this legislation closes major loopholes in tax law and lays out an equitable, long term, sustainable strategy to provide the requisite resources."

Davis represents a portion of Chicago that is ridden with gang violence and illegal gun crime. He must not know that when those Chicago thugs purchase stolen guns and ammunition they are not paying taxes and they are certainly not paying a transfer fee! This is another petty attempt to hurt law abiding citizens and our 2nd Amendment Rights.

We can stop this piece of legislation and we will do just that. By flooding their home offices with faxes from patriots like you, our House of Representatives will know we are serious about stopping another attack on our gun rights. They must vote NO to H.R. 3018.

No matter how many times you say it, the anti-gun democrats do not listen. Gun control does not affect criminals, it only affects law-abiding citizens. Criminals do not care about new gun laws that are proposed because criminals do not follow the laws! We are the ones that are outraged because these new taxes would drain our bank accounts. The death penalty and life sentence sure stop people from committing murders. NO they do not, because criminals do not follow laws!

This would do nothing to prevent gun violence or make any communities safer. This proposed anti-gun legislation is just another way to fulfill the ultimate Obama agenda which is taking guns away from the American people. If ammunition is priced out of affordability then law-abiding citizens will not be able to fire their weapons.

Since his re-election it has become clearer than ever what is at the top of his agenda; taking our guns away! The Obama Administration has been pushing gun control at the city, state, federal, and even the global level with the UN Arms Trade Treaty.

It is our job as Patriots and 2nd Amendment advocates to stop any attack on our gun rights and that is exactly what H.R. 3018 represents. We will flood the offices of our House of Representatives to tell them they must vote NO to H.R. 3018 when they return to Washington on September 9th.

Sincerely yours,
