BILBRAY-WITHOUT-THE-KOHN’S OUTRAGEOUS EFFORT TO “MAN UP”

On Women’s Equality Day - established by liberals to promote the notion that “women of the United States have been treated as second-class citizens and have not been entitled the full rights and privileges, public or private, legal or institutional, which are available to male citizens of the United States” – Nevada Democrat congressional candidate Erin Bilbray-without-the-Kohn demonstrated her equality with male Democrats all across America by…

Lying through her teeth.

In a fundraising pitch commemorating passage of the 19th amendment, Bilbray-without-the-Kohn falsely accused her political opponent, Republican Rep. Joe Heck, of supporting paying women less money to do the same job as men, wanting pre-teen girls to die of a sexually-transmitted disease, wanting to throw rape victims in jail instead of rapists, supporting domestic violence and opposing giving women “access to affordable health care.”

“Rep. Heck is no advocate for women’s equality, choice, or health,” Bilbray-without-the-Kohn intoned.  “Instead of moving us forward; Rep. Heck is turning back the hands of time on women’s rights.  Enough is enough.”

Indeed it is.  Enough of such outrageous lies and deception!

We’ve come to expect this sort of thing from men in the Democrat Party; shouldn’t we expect better from their women-folk?

And that’s what makes this Bilbray-without-the-Kohn attack even more outrageous and so insulting to women.  It’s not even original.  In fact, to come up with these lies Bilbray-without-the-Kohn adopted another male Democrat practice: Plagiarism.

Indeed, these attacks were lifted, Joe Biden-like, right from the playbook of Democrat John Oceguera, the man who first put forward this horse dung in his own challenge to Heck two years ago.

But don’t take my word for it.  When these “war on women” attacks were trotted out by Oceguera in a television commercial in 2012, no less a figure than liberal blogger Jon Ralston called “bullsh*t.” on them.

“The ad says Heck ‘tried to restrict rape victims access to abortion,’ which is patently false,” Ralston blogged.  “No one who has looked closely at the ad…has found it to be less than outrageous.”

Ralston later added in an interview published by the Columbia Journalism Review that Oceguera was “willing to do almost anything, including putting on an ad with false implications and false history to outrage female voters.”

Elizabeth Crum of KSNV-TV’s “The Agenda” labeled Oceguera’s whopper as “one of the most dishonest, despicable ads I have ever seen,” while her hard-core liberal co-host, Hugh Jackson, declared there was “no reason to go where they’ve gone here.”

Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist Steve Sebelius referred to Oceguera’s attacks as “not true” and “a misrepresentation” of Heck’s record, noting the Oceguera had “to stretch to justify the outrageous.”

And former Las Vegas Sun reporter David McGrath Schwartz noted at the time that there just wasn’t any way to justify the false accusations made against Heck.

“To accuse someone of being soft on rape is about as inflammatory an attack as we can imagine in a campaign,” Schwartz wrote.  “And if you make that charge, there should be some strong backup. So we label this ad Outrageous.”

Ralston concluded: “This is a desperate and revolting attempt to make women believe Heck is monstrous.”

A desperate and revolting attempt now being imitated by Bilbray-without-the-Kohn…proving that at least in dirty, dishonest, untruthful, outrageous Democrat politics women have achieved equality.

How lovely.  You’ve come a long way, baby!

I’M BEGGING YOU!

Once again I have to ask you all not to refer to the Kirner Tax as the Kirner Tax.

The Kirner Tax is the proposed Washoe County sales and property tax hike (AB-46) that Assemblyman Randy Kirner amended in the Legislature so that the Kirner Tax would be punted to the Washoe County Commission rather than the Nevada Legislature voting on the Kirner Tax directly.

Kirner has also been the most vocal and aggressive public supporter of the Kirner Tax, writing op-eds in favor of the Kirner Tax and spinning like a Tasmanian devil at town hall meetings trying to persuade voters to back the Kirner Tax

But Assemblyman Kirner is really mad at me for calling the Kirner Tax the Kirner Tax…and he’s just going to get mad at you, too, if you call the Kirner Tax the Kirner Tax.  So please, whatever you do, don’t call the Kirner Tax the Kirner Tax, especially in front of Asemblyman Kirner, the author of the Kirner Tax.

I mean, if everybody starts calling the Kirner Tax the Kirner Tax, what will voters think of when they go into the booth next June in the Republican primary?

So we’re all in agreement, right?  We’re gonna stop calling the Kirner Tax the Kirner Tax even though the Kirner Tax is, well, the Kirner Tax.

Thanks, everybody!  #KirnerTax
