KENTUCKY AND AMERICA NEED A CONSERVATIVE IN THE U.S. SENATE - MATT BEVIN FITS THAT ROLE!

Fellow Conservatives:
The leaders of the Republican Party in Washington do not actually believe in limited government. It's why Mitch McConnell and John Boehner refuse to fight for conservative principles and it's why they continue to cut deals with President Obama that reduce our freedoms.

We have tried to convince them to take a stand, but they won't listen. The only way to save our country is to replace these establishment Republicans with true, constitutional conservatives.

Please read this memo and then vote in our membership poll.
We need your immediate feedback on the U.S. Senate race in Kentucky. The outcome of this race will impact the lives of all Americans.

2014 U.S. SENATE | KENTUCKY
U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the Senate Republican Leader, is running for re-election. Unfortunately, he has a liberal record and refuses to fight for conservative principles.

  • McConnell voted to fund Obamacare this year, refuses to fight to defund Obamacare next year, and says parts of Obamacare are "okay"
  • McConnell worked with Vice President Biden to write the fiscal cliff tax deal that resulted in higher taxes for 80% of American families

  • McConnell voted for billions of dollars in wasteful earmark spending, including Alaska's "Bridge to Nowhere"

  • McConnell voted to bail out Wall Street banks and said it was one of the Senate's "finest moments"
  • McConnell voted to increase the national debt limit at least 9 times. Since he's been in Washington, the national debt has increased from about $1 trillion to more than $16 trillion dollars

  • McConnell voted against term limits and to raise his own pay
  • McConnell did nothing to fight the amnesty bill that passed earlier this year and he voted to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants back in 1986, which helped create the problem we have today
POLL: Do you approve of Mitch McConnell's record?

MITCH McCONNELL IS UNPOPULAR

After 28 years in office, voters in Kentucky are not enthusiastic about re-electing Mitch McConnell. In fact, Mitch McConnell is the most vulnerable Republican running for re-election in 2014.

McConnell already trails his Democratic opponent in recent polls and Cook Political Report rates Kentucky as a "Toss Up" despite the fact it's a bright red state that even Mitt Romney won by 23 points.

If Republicans in the Bluegrass State nominate McConnell again, he could lose the race and make it harder for Senate Republicans to win a majority. This is why Democrats hope McConnell is the Republican nominee.

So here's what we know:

Mitch McConnell has a liberal record, he has failed conservatives, and he could cost Republicans a critical U.S. Senate seat.

The question for conservatives is this: What are we going to do about it?

MEET MATT BEVIN

Matt Bevin (R-KY)Matt Bevin grew up in a rural, working class family, where he and his five brothers and sisters worked to help the family make ends meet.

Bevin earned a ROTC scholarship and worked year-round to pay for his college education. After college, he entered the military full time, rising to the rank of Army captain.

After military service, Bevin founded and invested in many successful companies ranging from manufacturing to money management.

Bevin is 46 years old, and has been married for seventeen years. He and his wife Glenna have nine children, ages 3-14, four of whom are adopted.

Matt Bevin is a constitutional conservative who believes that America’s greatest traditions are seriously threatened today by irresponsible Washington politicians who are bankrupting our country.

Bevin not only supports all of our conservative policy goals, he has demonstrated the courage to stand up to one the most powerful politicians in the country even in the face of personal attacks.

And if Bevin wins the nomination, he has a better chance of defeating the Democrat next November. Independent voters don't like McConnell and they're looking for new leadership.

POLL: Should Senate Conservatives Fund endorse Matt Bevin?

MEMBERSHIP POLL

Membership SurveyIf Kentucky Republicans nominate Matt Bevin, it will be a win-win. They will not only dramatically improve their representation in Washington, they will also prevent the Democrats from taking this critical Senate seat.

Bevin's nomination would also be a game-changer for all freedom-loving Americans. Nothing would do more to change Washington in 2014 than replacing Mitch McConnell -- the leader of the Republican establishment -- with Matt Bevin -- a principled, conservative fighter.

And what a change it would be. Matt Bevin is the most exciting candidate we have seen this year. He's principled, charismatic, and fearless. If he's elected, he will turn Washington up on its head.

So why are we asking for your feedback?

Because we can't win this race without YOU. If people like you aren't willing to take a stand, then Matt Bevin will lose.

Mitch McConnell already has a lot of money to spend on this race and he has the full support of the Washington establishment. He also smears his opponents and uses intimidation to silence his critics.

It will take a tidal wave of fearless grassroots activism to win the race.

We have won David vs. Goliath races like this before, but this one will test the resolve of the grassroots like none other.

Please tell us if you're willing to storm the castle. If you're with us, we will stand up to this bully and do everything we can to win the fight.

POLL: Are you willing to support Matt Bevin's conservative campaign?

Thank you for supporting the principles of freedom that make America great.

Best regards,

Matt Hoskins
Executive Director
Senate Conservatives Fund
