OHIO - VOTERS MUST ELECT RESPONSIBLE OFFICIALS - CONSERVATIVES FIT THE BILL!

Dear Conservatives,

In November 2014 Ohioans will choose a Governor, 16 Congressmen, 11 State Senators, and 99 State Representatives. This November, Ohioans will also be electing local officials across the state.

Who will make these choices?  VOTERS.

The Bible instructs us to “…select capable men from all the people – men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain – and appoint them as officials…” (Exodus 18:21). These are the kind of leaders we want and also the kind of leaders we would expect Christian voters to choose. It stands to reason then that when Christians get out and vote, the outlook looks much better for Ohio.

The idea behind Awake 88, an initiative of Citizens for Community Values, is to mobilize Christian voters in every county in Ohio. We're focusing on churches, like yours, to reach Christian voters. Christians gather every week to hear the Word of God and glean wisdom from you, their pastor.  You can help set the course for the future of Ohio simply by encouraging your congregation to vote.

Research has shown that voters who make a plan to get to the polls on election day are much more likely to vote. Besides reminding your people about the importance and responsibility of being a voter, offering some help with logistics can also make a huge difference.

We’ve developed a simple, turn-key plan that can be run by a volunteer at your church.  It’s easy – and it’s important!

If every pastor, in every church, in every county, in Ohio will join the Awake 88 movement, it will be Christian Ohioans who choose Ohio’s leaders!
