The Republican Party also believes that marriage should be between one man and one woman while the Democratic Party does not. In 2004, Ohioans voted overwhelmingly against same-sex marriage with a 62-38% margin. It was this issue that ultimately enabled George W. Bush to win the state of Ohio and propelled him to victory to serve a second term in the White House. Like George W. Bush, this fight in 2014 will guarantee victory for Governor John Kasich and all those who support natural marriage.
