OUR DHS PROTECTS OBAMA AS IT REFUSES TO ENFORCE LAWS

The time has come to end
The Department of Homeland Security...

They’re buying up massive amounts of ammo. They’re collecting our data. They’re expanding the federal police force like never before. They’re patting us down, and our children, and our grandchildren. They’re releasing documents declaring patriotic Americans as likely terrorists, ignoring the clear and present threats at hand.
And somehow, despite all of these egregious actions and unreasonable intrusions into our lives, they still can’t get a damn thing done right.

They've failed in their basic mission to Secure the Homeland.
It's time to Stop the massive abuse of power and waste of money...

I’m talking, of course, about the Department of Homeland Security. Since the success of Gun Appreciation Day, I watched as that department was again and again singled out for its incompetence and its arrogance. Almost every day I would see a new report on how DHS spent some outrageous amount of money, or negligently allowed something to happen.
And all at once, their ineptitude made me realize something.
Maybe it was the security breaches in TSA – in spite of their constant derision towards our 4th Amendment rights.
Maybe it was the document declaring Right Wing groups terrorists.
Or maybe it is the growing push to turn the United States into a surveillance state by the likes of Rep. Peter King.
No matter what report sparked it, a simple fact suddenly became abundantly clear:
The Department of Homeland Security has become a greater threat to liberty than the groups it was supposed to control. And, at the same time, it has thoroughly and unquestionably failed its original mission of ensuring a homeland that is safe, secure, and resilient against terrorism and other hazards.
Many people are pointing to the Boston Marathon as emblematic of the need for a stronger DHS, when in fact it is quite the opposite. The local police, local Americans, and a private business are what identified and captured the bombers. DHS, on the other hand, completely dropped the ball on their duty to monitor known threats to national security.
It’s time to reject the bogus logic that every failure of government must lead to a larger budget. Instead, we need to excise the cancer of DHS incompetence and strip its funding and powers – not pour more money into the rat hole.
That is why I started EndDHS.com, and why I’m going to pour the same steadfast determination and financial commitment into this effort as I did with Gun Appreciation Day – if not more.
In the coming weeks, the EndDHS.com Campaign will explore, expose and explain the incompetence, waste, corruption, abuse, unchecked power and civil-liberty violations of the Department of Homeland Security.
The fact is, our great nation thrived for more than 200 years without DHS. We don’t need it. We never should have created it. It sacrifices far too much libertyfor the fig-leaf illusion of security.
We’re going to have vociferous opposition from every big-government, small-liberty statist in the book. We’re going to have people calling us traitors – just like they did when we spoke out against the PATRIOT Act and every other unconstitutional infringement of our liberty in the name of “security.”
But we’re right in this battle. Our Founding Fathers well knew that a monstrosity like DHS would come into American government if we weren’t vigilant, and now that it has, it’s our job as We the People to take it down.
As Benjamin Franklin said, “They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
Let’s restore Liberty, and let’s restore America.
Join us today, and let the debate begin.

Sincerely,
