Please welcome Las Vegas City Councilman Bob Beers.Former Republican Nevada State Senator and now a Las Vegas Republican City Councilman Bob Beers is now representing Ward 2 and won this position in 2012.   Bob Beers served in theNevada Senate for the 2005 and 2007 Legislative sessions. He was appointed Vice-Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, where he mastered the complex state budget.  He also served as a member of the Committees on Natural Resources and Legislative Operations.  After a way too long, three year hiatus we are very happy to see Bob Beers back in the world of politics.  Nevada Senator Bob Beers was one of our original Las Vegas Republican Group members and was a frequent speaker and supporter.
 
  
Please welcome Las Vegas City Councilman Stavros Anthony.  Former Las Vegas Metro Police Captain, a member of the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents, Stavros Anthony is a long time member of the Las Vegas Republican Townhall Group and is also a frequent Special Guest Speaker.  In 2009, Stavros was the first Republican elected to the Las Vegas City Council in our memory.  As a City Councilman represents Las Vegas Ward 4 and was appointed Mayor Pro-Tem by Mayor Caroline Goodman shortly after she was elected in 2011.  Councilman Anthony serves on the board of directors for Goodwill of Southern Nevada and is a member of the National League of Cities 2011 Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Advocacy Committee.  Councilman Anthony is also a past member and president of the Board of Directors for St. John Greek Orthodox Church.
  
Please welcome Suzette LaGrange, Candidate for Las Vegas City Council Ward 6.  As a Republican Candidate Suzette will be running against long term City Councilman Steve Ross and when elected, Suzette will be the third Republican sitting on the Las Vegas City council.  Suzette LaGrange joined Colliers International in 2005 following a 10 year career with CB Richard Ellis and now serves as Senior Vice President of the Industrial Real Estate Division. Suzette has been involved in office and industrial lease transactions totaling more than 7 million square feet, building sales of nearly 7 million square feet, and the sale of over 400 acres of land. She has extensive experience in both office and industrial developments including land acquisitions, zoning, entitlements, design and planning, marketing, lease negotiations, and investment dispositions.

$5.00 EXPENSE DONATION IS REQUESTED:   We are a non-profit group that has monthly Restaurant Expense and as a professional courtesy, we pay for Special Guest Speaker (only) meals as well as other expenses that must be paid if we are to continue operating each month.  To offset these costs, we ask for a $5.00 donation in lieu of a membership fee from all attending, we thank you for supporting all that we do. 

FORMAT:  We follow Robert's Rules of Order.  This allows each speaker adequate time to give an important and meaningful presentation without interruption.  Teleprompters are not available so when a speaker loses his or her place when interrupted, this can be very confusing.  We do allow for Q&A after their presentation.  Please ask those important questions not statements during the Q&A.  Depending upon time constraints and number of speakers, we may ask that you be limited to one question.  Your courtesy is expected and appreciated.
