A CHRISTIAN PASTOR SPEAKS OF OHIO'S HEARTBEAT BILL FAILURE

HEARTBEAT OF A NATION

This past week Ohio Senate President Tom Niehaus, a “Pro-Life Republican,” sabotaged the Ohio Heartbeat Bill. This bill presented the strongest antiabortion legislation in the nation, prohibiting abortions where there is a detectable fetal heartbeat, as early as six weeks into a pregnancy. It would have certainly sparked a Supreme Court contest, challenging the “viability standard” set by Roe v. Wade. Nonetheless, I tell you the defeat of the Heartbeat Bill is accordance with God’s will, because our Savior will not accept half-measures. He never has. We The Church will either go all the way for Life or we suffer sword, famine and plague for forty years of innocent bloodshed.

If you have ears for the truth, the Heartbeat Bill didn’t flatline because Niehaus implemented some cheap political stunt. Who is Niehaus that he should oppose God? The Heartbeat Bill is dead because God will never endorse a law that does not beat to His rhythm. Not only did the Heartbeat Bill neglect God’s definition of Life, tying Life to a ‘heartbeat’ instead of ‘conception,’ but it also treats the murder of the unborn as a fifth degree felony, the same as one caught distributing marijuana. It also exonerates the mother and does nothing to prohibit chemical (or medication) abortions. Even in a supposed case of endangering the life of the mother you have to understand that God’s design is perfect. He specifically tied the life of the mother to the life of the child. If the mother dies, so does the baby in her womb. Therefore, any effort to preserve the mother’s life must be extended to the unborn infant. You will not find a viable argument to the contrary, because God does not view the unborn as parasites. They are His children!

Here’s a brief history on the Heartbeat Bill you won’t find anywhere except in our forthcoming book, The Life:

In late December 2009, the Lord led my family into Ohio for the third time since calling us out from Texas. He said, ‘Ohio is the heart of the nation. Repentance and restoration must begin in the heart.’ It is no coincidence that Ohio is the bellwether state of our times, and it is called ‘The Heart of it All.’

In February 2010, the Spirit led me to speak to a small group of Christian patriots in Putnam County. There I met Ohio Representative Lynn Wachtmann, who would come to sponsor the Heartbeat Bill a year later. I told him plainly that his first responsibility was to Christ, citing the Sanctity of Human Life as his highest priority. When he questioned who would support him if he put aside jobs and the economy for Life, I said to him, “It would be good for you to lose your job over doing what is right in the sight of the Lord.” I also admonished his constituents that God would hold them accountable if they did not support him should he pursue God’s legislative agenda.

On Good Friday 2010, I was further led to a candidate forum in Findlay, Ohio to testify to Ohio Senator Cliff Hite. He would later be appointed to shepherd the Heartbeat Bill through the Senate approval process. He did not receive my testimony, and the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, hosting the event, had me escorted from their building. The Lord was witnessing to me the forthcoming rejection of Life by the Ohio Senate.

In August of 2010, the Spirit led me next to contact Ohio Right to Life. I spoke with their late legislative council, Mark Lally, a former president and the purported “heart and soul” of their organization. The Lord directed me to ask him if they had ever “sponsored a candidate who wasn’t Pro-Life.” Incredibly, the Spirit caused him to confess, “Well, when we have a lesser of two evils situation, we give them what’s called a ‘preferred status.’” By this I understood that Right To Life could not be counted on to hearken to God’s will.

Despite strong opposition from Right To Life and other pretended “Christians,” representative Wachtmann, convicted by the Spirit, spearheaded the passing of the Heartbeat Bill in the Ohio House on June 29, 2011. Yet, as the spirit of politics—or compromise—often does, concessions were made to Satan. Pro-Lifers will almost universally agree that Life begins at conception and that there ought to be no exceptions justifying abortion, but few believe they can succeed in a U.S. Supreme Court contest if they go all the way for the Lord. They are wrong. Even if the whole world rebukes you, God will accept you, and that is all that matters in this life. But let us not forget the God we serve, for He knows how to humble those who oppose His will. I declare unto you that in the day when the Church rises up in one voice for the Sanctity of Human Life, God Himself will shake the halls of the Supreme Court, He will level every mountain and cut down every tall tree that stands in His way, and He will humble the White House. Yes, even our lost president will come to know the Lord his God.

You, as a member of Christ’s Body, are never to accept the lesser of two evils for anything in this life. Don’t let Satan fool you into believing you can do some good. Is this not how Roe v. Wade became the highest law of the land in the first place? God has never condoned evil, lesser or greater; neither by His servants the prophets, nor by His apostles, and certainly not by His Son. Were Jesus here in the flesh today, would He endorse a bill that excuses any form of innocent bloodshed, even if it abolishes the rest? Would He say, “Give unto Caesar what is Caesar’s” concerning the flesh and blood of His Father’s children? Absolutely not! Every child conceived belongs to God, and we His servants ought to hold firm to this truth, accepting nothing short of it. We serve an all or nothing God. To Him there is no such thing as abolishing ‘almost every abortion.’ Just as the Church cannot be almost in Christ, it cannot be pardoned for almost stopping its innocent bloodshed.

It has come to my attention that Pro-Life advocates misunderstand the goal for which the Lord would have us fight. God’s only interest in our flesh is for the sake of our souls. Therefore, we must be “Pro-Soul.” Consider the meaning of salvation. Is any unborn child slaughtered by means of abortion lost to God? Absolutely not! Even if they die they will not be lost, but will be eternally consoled in Paradise. Clara and I have three such children, all lost to miscarriages, but are now in heaven being loved by our Savior in ways we could never equal.

So for whom are we ultimately fighting if not for the souls of the lost who engage in this murderous bloodshed called abortion? Everyone from the mother, the abortionist doctor, the nurses that aid him, the staffs that councils young mothers to commit murder and sets their appointments with death, as well as the voter who continues to vote “a woman’s body is her own” against God’s Law will all be lost to the lake of fire. The only thing that can save them is repentance, but the Church is giving them no incentive! Because We The Church lack the courage to rise up and call evil for what it is, countless souls are perishing. This is the truth, and it is unacceptable to our Savior.

Brothers and sisters, I know many of you pray for an end to abortion, but how will this evil scourge ever cease unless you lift up your voices and demand from your elected officials that murder, in all forms and for all ages, be made illegal? God has answered your prayers by calling voices like mine to spring forth from the wilderness of America, but now you must do your part. One individual will not change the heart of this nation. God will change it, but He will use His Body to do it.

We The Church have an obligation in Christ to openly and vociferously decry evil. Otherwise, when disaster strikes this nation, “Christians” will cry out to God for mercy, but the Judge will say, ‘When I called, nobody listened. When I shouted “Violence!” no one responded.’

“Do not pray for this people nor offer any plea or petition for them, because I will not listen when they call to me in the time of their distress.” —Jeremiah 11:14

Many of you will now ask, “What are we to do?” But even if I tell you what God would have you do, I know that few, only the remnant, will actually rise up and obey His Commands. In reality, most of the Church doesn’t actually believe in the Lord’s judgment. Woe unto you, because my family has seen it! Just recently, my daughter Rielle was given a vision of a large tree that had been felled with a clean cut. Its fallen member, however, was splintered at its base. Also, two cardinals stood with the fallen member, facing each other. One sat perched upon the middle of the trunk and the other stood on the ground by its tip. Behind the tree a consuming fire threatened both its base, still rooted, and its fallen member. Before this, Clara saw an ancient, massive iron sword about to be picked up by a giant who was being set loose at the appointed time to fulfill his purpose, a “war-maker.” These are two witnesses of what is coming, but I tell you we have seen so much more—so much, we cannot ignore it. Neither should you.

Here I am in Ohio with my wife and four children. We stand and knock on your doors as true and faithful witnesses. Who then will let us in to testify at your events, to your groups, churches and fellowships what the Spirit has enabled us to see and hear? Is there not a remnant in Ohio or anywhere else in this country that wants to hear the true Word of God before His Sword fells this rebellious nation?

If you want to do what is right, then engage your elected officials and voice your demand that they make the Sanctity of Human Life their highest priority. Tell them plainly that if they are truly in Christ they will put money aside and make a decisive end to innocent bloodshed—with NO EXCEPTIONS. Do this in your own community, then do it again in Ohio. God has indeed made Ohio ‘the heart of the nation,’ so do not ignore it. This fight is not about politics. It’s about the true Church in Christ. Politically speaking, the Ohio General Assembly has no reason to listen to you unless you are a voting constituent. However, in Christ, every member of His Body has an obligation to one another. The vast majority now holding office in the Ohio House are purported “Christians.” So hold them to it, or God will hold you accountable for your complacency. A silent witness is no witness at all!

Begin by voicing your encouragements to Representative Lynn Wachtmann, whom you can call at (614) 466-3760. Tell him to go all the way for the Sanctity of Human Life. Tell him that the true support he needs cannot be initiated by the Spirit unless he does. Then ask him how you can support him in this endeavor, being willing to do whatever is right—without making compromises. Next, contact outgoing Senate President Niehaus’ replacement, Steve Fabor at (614) 466-7584. Tell him that it is his duty in Christ to make the restoration of the Sanctity of Human Life (SOHL) his foremost legislative priority. Tell him the truth that the ax is already at the root of Ohio’s tree. If Ohio does not produce good fruit by Roe v. Wade’s fortieth anniversary, the Hand of the Lord will smite the heart of this nation. Don’t worry about being offensive to man, but speak frankly as Christ spoke to the Pharisees and the teachers of the law. Are you going to please men or are you going to please God?

“To whom can I speak and give warning? Who will listen to me? Their ears are closed so they cannot hear. The word of the Lord is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it.” —Jeremiah 6:10

Brothers and sisters, Ohio’s motto is by no coincidence ‘With God All Things Are Possible,’ but I am grieved in my soul because I can already hear the excuses. Will you ignore Life and succumb to the demands of the encroaching Christmas Holiday? Will you convince yourselves that somehow God did not put you here to be His witnesses? You have an obligation in Christ to witness to your appointed leaders, and to decry what God’s defines as sin. No man or woman can truly be in Christ and have Christ in them if he or she in any way condones innocent bloodshed.

“When I say to the wicked, ‘ O wicked man, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade him from his ways, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood.” —Ezekiel 33:8

Restoration begins with awakening, it proceeds with courage, it becomes reality through faith. In the Name of Christ Jesus, I bid you urgently trumpet this alarm or be held responsible for the blood of those who fall by sword, famine and plague because no one warned the wicked to turn from their sin. Amen.
