RedState Briefing 10/03/2012

Morning Briefing
For October 3, 2012

1. Trent Lott Was Unavailable for Comment
I think this Tucker Carlson exclusive is damning.

But it is damning not of Barack Obama. Conservatives already knew who he really was and is.

The video is damning of the media.

The media created the post-racial narrative of Barack Obama. The media invested its energies in it. Sure, they got an assist from the Obama campaign, but it was the media.

Tucker Carlson’s Daily Caller released the video of Barack Obama and the media yawned that it was old news. Media outlets threw up links of where they had covered the speech in 2007. Yawn.

In 2007, while running for President of the United States, Barack Obama told a black audience, in full pander dialect, that the then white President and his government did not view black residents of New Orleans as part of the “American family.”  . . . please click here for the rest of the post

2. Debate Advice for Romney & Obama
Allow me to remedy the nation’s critical shortage of advice for the participants in the presidential debates that kick off with Wednesday’s Obama-Romney debate. Below, a few suggested do’s and don’ts for each of the two candidates. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

3. New Jersey SEIU Boss Exposes Himself: Why, Yes, We Do Use Union Dues To Buy Politicians
Back in July, ACORN-aficionado James O’Keefe exposed New York union bosses caught on tape showing their appreciation for the concept of taxpayer-funded “shovel ready” jobs–that is the idea of digging holes only to fill them back in and getting the government (taxpayers) to fund the make-work project. Well, Mr. O’Keefe and his hidden camera team have been at it again–this time exposing how how beholden Democrat politicians are to unions like the SEIUs.  . . . please click here for the rest of the post

4. Joe Biden Changes Sides. Campaigns For Mitt Romney
In an unexpected turn of events today, Joe Biden, changed sides and decided to campaign for Mitt Romney. At a campaign rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, Biden announced:

“This is deadly earnest. How they can justify … raising taxes on the middle class that has been buried the last four years? How in the Lord’s name can they justify raising their taxes and these tax cuts?”

5. Mission Accomplished for Obama in Iraq
One of the areas of consistency in the Obama regime has been its utter hostility to broadening American power. This has taken the form of what can easily be called a conscious weakening of our economic situation and in the feckless nature of his foreign policy that has terrified our friends and allies while giving our enemies a good laugh at our expense. This has never been more apparent than our criminally negligent actions in Iraq.

To review the bidding, after the surge of 2006 the David Petraeus created a working coalition of Shia and Sunni power centers who saw a future in a strong . . . please click here for the rest of the post

6. Obama Campaign Supports Promiscuity
This is an actual ecard that can be found on the Obama-Biden website. This one has companion pieces that decry any agenda that returns us to an era of stable, two-parent (male and female, not one of the many permutations of gender and species identity that inhabit the modern Democrat party) families, middle class incomes, independence from government, affordable health care, and a low rate of both out of wedlock births and shacking up. This era is called “The 1950s” by the Democrats and it is bad because it is hostile to their natural constituency.

What struck many of us on the right as exotic about this claim is not only why any adult woman would expect her mother to pay for her birth control. Even the slacker mandate in Obamacare cuts you off from the familial teat at age 26. But the price tag.

I mean $18K is a lot of birth control to be used from age 12 or 13 through age 22 or so. . . . please click here for the rest of the post
