MICHIGAN - VOTE NO ON PROPOSAL 2 - NO, NO, NO!

Conservatives,

Over the past several years, you and I have witnessed assaults by government worker unions on reform-minded state lawmakers in Wisconsin and Ohio.

Reformers with the courage to put taxpayers above Big Labor's entitlements and sweetheart deals they've enjoyed at our expense for generations found themselves under siege as labor leaders lashed out in anger.

Thanks to concerned Americans like you, opponents of forced unionism prevailed.

But the Big Labor bosses are back with a new strategy - a strategy with the potential to do far more damage than a single recall election ever could.

And they've picked Michigan as their target

You see, in Michigan - the proverbial home of the labor movement - Governor Rick Snyder and a conservative majority in the state legislature passed a series of reforms over the last two years that have turned the state's economy around after languishing for a decade with the nation's highest unemployment rate.

And how did government employee union bosses respond?

By bankrolling "Proposal 2" - a deceptive ballot proposal that would change the state's constitution to allow union contracts to trump state law.

According to Michigan's Attorney General, "Proposal 2" would overturn at least 170 state laws, including:

* Laws that require taxpayer funded public employees to pay a portion of their own health care;

* Laws that allow local public school districts to contract with local job providers to provide support services;

* The law that requires teachers undergo criminal background checks before stepping foot in Michigan kids' classrooms.

But that's not even the worst of it.

The really bad news is that "Proposal 2" would BAN Michigan from ever passing a Right to Work law - which its Republican majority is in a position to pass

As you know, a Right to Work law simply states that no worker can be forced to pay dues to a labor union just to have a job and feed their family.

National Review, the Wall Street JournalFox NewsCNBC and other major news outlets all agree that if "Proposal 2" passes in Michigan - Big Labor will export this strategy to other states.

That's why opponents of forced unionism from all over the country should be concerned with "Proposal 2."

In fact, "Proposal 2" is the most important campaign you've never heard of - and the stakes couldn't be higher.

Pastor Lee S, the good folks in Michigan fighting this outrageous initiative need your help.

If Big Labor succeeds in Michigan, you and I could be fighting this battle in our own backyards over the next decade

So can I count on you to help fight this unprecedented attack from the government employee unions?

My friends at "Protecting Michigan Taxpayers" (PMT) are leading the fight against "Proposal 2" in Michigan.

They're on the ground in Michigan standing on the front lines between taxpayers like you and the government labor unions' massive power grab.

Will you agree to a generous contribution of $100, $50, $25 - or even $10 - to help PMT alert as many Michiganders as possible about this threat before November 6?

Using mail, radio, internet, emails and phone calls, PMT will mobilize a grassroots army of concerned citizens to help encourage folks to vote NO on "Proposal 2."

If the government employee unions aren't stopped in Michigan this November - you and I will have to deal with them in our own backyards next.

So please take a stand against this Big Labor power grab by making a generous contribution to Protecting Michigan Taxpyers today

In liberty,

Rand Paul

P.S. On November 6, Michigan voters will take to the polls and vote on "Proposal 2" - a Big Labor power grab that could impact every American in the future.

If passed, "Proposal 2" would overturn at least 170 state laws - and would BAN Michigan from ending the practice of forced unionism by passing a Right to Work law.

If Big Labor succeeds, you and I will have to fight this battle in our own backyards next year.

So please help my good friends at Protect Michigan Taxpayers defeat "Proposal 2" by making a generous contribution IMMEDIATELY
