In Ayn Rand’s 1957 novel Atlas Shrugged, a fictional character with the alias John Galt takes the stand against an overreaching government imposing its will upon society and people. Galt does not differ from free-market capitalist Americans of today: Government control, or control by any man over other individuals and what they create with their natural talents, is wrong.
John Galt, a hard-working man, is not an anarchist but a American who believes in limited central government and understands everything each individual earns and owns is theirs not the government.
Today the symbol of John Galt is alive in the conservative movement. John Galt has been given a new name through a slam, falsely insinuated by President Obama earlier this summer. The slap-in-the-face phrase is against middle class business owners and earners achieving the American dream and rising further in their financial status: These Americans are refereed to by Obama as “Uncle Jim.”
So just in case some of your friends or neighbors, or you know, Uncle Jim who‘s a little stubborn and been watching Fox News and no he thinks that somehow I’ve raised taxes, let’s just be clear — we’ve lowered taxes for middle class families since I came into office.
Uncle Jim did have his taxes raised on him, Uncle Jim lost his job, his home, and he has gone through his savings, so why on earth would Uncle Jim want to continue down this road of collectivism toward becoming a serf named Julia!
Obama believes the middle class—Uncle Jim—is too lazy, because Uncle Jim is unwilling to let his foolish American middle class mind understand that he can’t do anything unless the government helps him. That’s because Julia is not a role model for Uncle Jim, Thomas Jefferson is!
By the way, all you FemiNazis championing Obama, you fall into the Uncle Jim category since Obama believes women cannot make it without government. That’s why Obama gave women a role model to demonstrate how we must depend upon government to save our lives: Obama’s make-believe woman “Julia.”
Of course the independent-minded “Julia’s” are praising Obama for his attempt to take control of their lives. I guess women can’t make it after all; they have become lazy Uncle Jims who can’t even burn their bras without government assisting them!
In Roanoke, Virginia, President Obama used the phrase “Uncle Jim” to chastise anyone independently attaining success by falsely claiming:
There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me—because they want to give something back. They know they didn’t—look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something—there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there. If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.
Every individual achieves real success through individual talent, not government, which simply wants to rearrange achievement through individual hard work and replace it with government control for government power. People make America grow, not government.
Don’t be surprised the Julia’s aren’t burning their bras over the insinuation they cannot do or build that. FemiNazis believe they can do anything a man can do, but only if the government gives it to them! As I pointed out above, it’s not slavery if you adore having the government strap your into your burned bra!
Feminists fight for government control under the guise of liberation. It’s their way of helping leftist governments force Uncle Jim out of work and into welfare. Uncle Jim should understand; he is after all a man: The worst sort of species to befall humanity next to, well, human beings.
But Uncle Jim is not just men. Uncle Jim is every American: Men and women, every financial status, every walk of life, race, religion, anyone who wants to make their dream a reality. More women are Uncle Jim’s than Julia’s. That’s why Obama insists no American can build that or make that or do that on their own without everyone helping—especially government.
Obama is beginning to sound more and more like "Uncle Joe."
As far as the wealthy successful people who agree with Obama: They agree with Mr. Obama because they want only a few in control of America’s wealth. And they want those few controlling the people, whom they want begging the government for help. Those wealthy are radical left-wingers, not patriotic Americans who believe the American dream belongs to all.
Conservative-minded Americans do not want government controlling their decisions or their bank accounts. They know achieving success comes from hard work, not welfare checks or a collective guild-style work-force.
Not according to Uncle Joe Obama, who made this absurd claim:
The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together. There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don’t do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service. That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.
Local firefighters did not build your homes or your businesses, they fight fires, but they don’t support American family incomes. They support their own family incomes just like every other working individual! And people do not succeed by working at personal dreams together, with society. Each individual has the intellect to create their dream, which belongs to them, not others, and certainly not government. I realize this is hard for the Marxist-minded Obama to grasp, but the “Uncle Jim's,” actually do make a living without asking for a handout from Big Brother. And most Americans do in fact want to succeed through their natural God-given talents.
The Uncle Jim's do not want to be the government assisted Julia’s. Julia is not a success; she is a mockery of women, Americans, and life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
But isn’t that Obama’s intention; make every dream a collective Julia rather than an independent Uncle Jim? It’s the only way to truly spread your wealth… if you allow it to happen to you.
Americans can sit back and do nothing while Obama continues convincing Americans that “food stamps make you look good,” and “you didn’t build that,” while welfare rises to 19% as Obama spends $1 Trillion of your tax dollars each year to subsidize Julia. Or, Americans can act like John Galt and refuse to let government take what the Constitution upholds—individual rights and liberty.
You have a choice: Stand up and fight as the new John Galt--Uncle Jim, or let the government turn you all into Julia!
