LAS VEGAS - NEW CITY COUNCILMAN - BOB BEERS! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Congratulations to New Las Vegas City Councilman Bob Beers!

Bob Beers became the second Republican on the Las Vegas City Council last Tuesday as he won the special election to fill the Ward 2 seat. The businessman and former state lawmaker joins Stavros Anthony as the Republicans on the Council.

Beers won the special election by a huge margin, beating his nearest challenger by 15 percentage points. He garnered 37% of the vote in the nine-person race.

As a member of the state Assembly and later the state Senate, Beers developed a reputation for fiscal restraint. His election to the Las Vegas City Council will bring another much-needed voice for controlling spending in the cash-strapped City.

The Ward 2 seat became open when Steve Wolfson resigned after he was appointed to be Clark County District Attorney upon the retirement of David Roger. The Las Vegas City Council chose to hold a special election to fill the seat rather than appoint the new Council member.
Congratulations to Republican Bob Beers, the newest member of the Las Vegas City Council!

TOGETHER TO VICTORY IN 2012!
