“[T]o bereave a man of life, or by violence to confiscate his estate without accusation or trial, would be so gross and notorious an act of despotism, as must at once convey the alarm of tyranny throughout the whole kingdom. But confinement of the person by secretly hurrying him to [jail], where his sufferings are unknown or forgotten, is a less public, a less striking, and therefore a more dangerous engine of arbitrary force.”William Blackstone, Commentaries on the Laws of England
After reading up on the disaster that is the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that was recently passed by Congress, I could make a laundry list of the problems with it. There are so many major problems that I was having trouble coming up with an easy way of presenting them all. Then it dawned on me – why not create an actual list! (brilliant, I know)
IGNORANT JUDGES ARE LETHAL TO LIBERTY
DEMAND CONGRESS SECURE OUR RIGHTS

It seems that every week there is some new attack on Liberty. Last month, it was the US Navy trying to remove Religious Liberty in the name of "Separation of Church and State." Last week it was our Congress, removing the right of trial and habeas corpus from US Citizens, and obliterating the protections of Posse Comitatus.
I am grateful to our Patriots who continue to send Faxes to Congress as the proper redress and demonstrate that "Eternal vigilance is the only safeguard to our Liberty." While our most urgent concern is petitioning Congress to restore the right of trial, obtaining proper writs of habeas corpus and restoring the Posse Comitatus protections, in this article I will outline additional rights we will need to protect in the upcoming year.
Cable station this morning had a map of Iowa, with colored lines showing the different routes the candidates will take around the state today. Why is that important? Why is it news? By November, everyone will be s o sick of this election no one may vote. ~Bob.
Luxury 99 per cent of Americans can only dream of...Michael Moore's stunning waterfront mansion revealed
Excerpt: He is the booming voice of the Occupy protests, encouraging activists to continue their battle against the wealthy one per cent of Americans. But it seems left-wing documentary maker Michael Moore has been uncharacteristically quiet about one thing: his own wealth. While Moore has denied he is among the top-earners in the country, tax records show he owns an extensive property in one of the country’s most elite communities. (Little nicer than a tent. Or any place this "rich" Republican ever owned. ~Bob.)

The Year in Obama Scandals --- and Scandal Deniers
By Michelle Malkin
http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | With 2011 drawing to a close, it is time to account. As an early-and-often chronicler of Chicago-on-the-Potomac, I am amazed at the stubborn and clingy persistence of President Barack Obama's snowblowers in the media. See no scandal, hear no scandal, speak no scandal.
Dartmouth College professor Brendan Nyhan asserted in May — while Operation Fast and Furious subpoenas were flying on Capitol Hill — that "one of the least remarked upon aspects of the Obama presidency has been the lack of scandals." Conveniently, he defines scandal as a "widespread elite perception of wrongdoing."
So as long as left-wing Ivy League scribes refuse to perceive something to be a scandal — never mind the actual suffering endured by the family of murdered Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, whose death came at the hands of a Mexican cartel thug wielding a Fast and Furious gun walked across the southern border under Attorney General Eric Holder's watch — there is no scandal!
