THIS IS FOOLISH OF GRASSLEY - DOES HE ABET CONGRESSIONAL DEFIANCE?

Grassley Almost Jumped Out Of His Skin To Say "No" To Impeachment!
Don't get us wrong; there are still men and women of good character in Washington but, if you want an example of RINO-ism in action, look no further than Senator Charles Grassley.

On FOXNews on Sunday, when a reporter asked Grassley if he agreed with Congressman James Sensenbrenner that impeachment should be on the table in regards to the Fast and Furious scandal, the normally reserved and dour Grassley nearly jumped out of his skin and, clearly driven to a level of excitement he had not exhibited in years, shouted "No."

It was the first word out of his mouth. To watch it, you would have thought the man was about to have a heart attack.  But what Grassley exhibited was something you sometimes see in Washington. Every now and then, a politician loses his bearings, lets the veneer slip and ever so briefly (if you blink , you might miss it), exhibits a moment of candor.

Sadly, what the reporter failed to ask subsequent to Grassley's emphatic "NO"was: Then why, Senator Grassley, are you wasting the American people's time with dog-and-pony shows? Why hold any hearings if you're not going to take any actions based on the findings of those hearings? Why have you allowed Eric Holder to evade providing real answers on Operation Fast and Furious for almost a year?

And here's a bit of information that is not being disseminated. Do you know what happens after Congress concludes its Fast and Furious hearings? By procedure, they're supposed to submit their findings to Barack Obama and Eric Holder and ask them to take punitive action.  Here's our findings guys... now get busy and punish yourselves... like that's ever gonna' happen.

Of course, Congress could totally bypass the Executive Branch... but that would require... you guessed it... IMPEACHMENT. But wait a minute. Grassley said that's not going to happen.

So what the heck is going on? Larry Klayman, the founder of Judicial Watch, gives the sad and unfortunate answer. "Threats of impeachment of Holder are just part of the overall dog-and-pony show to position Republicans for the next election." Klayman adds that wrong-doers in Washington view impeachment as an“empty threat” and “meaningless in the world of Washington, D.C., politics.”

And why shouldn't they see it as an "empty threat?" No wonder Holder maintains a Why-Are-They-Wasting-My Time expression on his face as he gives testimony.  After all, the fix is in... the fix has always been in. One side of the aisle tells the other: We'll puff and pontificate but (wink, wink, nudge, nudge), in the end, we'll watch your backs if you watch our backs.

But it doesn't have to be that way. We're citizens, not subjects. This country belongs to the American people, not the politicians and the special interests. This country belongs to you

Make no mistake, if they don't get the message, the American people WILL clean house; but don't let anyone tell you that you have to wait until November to effect change. The country is in dire straights.  We can't wait. We can make change happen now
