'To hell with the American people... we simply don't give a damn that the clear majority of Americans have told us NOT to raise the debt ceiling... we need to squander more of their money. After all, it's not THEIR money... THE MONEY PEOPLE EARN THROUGH HARD WORK AND SWEAT IS REALLY OUR MONEY... and as long as WE make a "deal," THEY'LL just have to learn to live with it.' Effectively, that's what they're telling us. They just don't get it. They haven't learned. They're still meeting in secret, behind closed doors, because if the American people could hear what they were saying, they'd march on Washington with torches and pitchforks... and while Rome burns, they're playing Let's Make A Deal with the future of our children and grandchildren.
If they have their druthers, possibly before you even read this urgent appeal, they will emerge from their smoke-filled room laughing... slapping each other on the back... high-fives all around. They'll triumphantly announce that they've reached a deal.
And if we leave them to their own devices, they'll try to railroad their debt ceiling raw deal through Congress, possibly even before anyone has a chance to read it... or examine it... or reflect upon it.
It didn't take them long to forget that the American people fired scores of them just six short months ago over their ObamaCare shenanigans; and yet, the secret closed-door meetings and legislative railroads continue.
We're not letting up! We're not letting them get away with it! We're striking now and we're going to flood their offices with faxes until the piles of paper on their plush carpeted floors reach their knees. They WILL get the message: The American people don't want you to raise the debt ceiling... PERIOD!
