STOP OBAMA'S CONTINUING BS!

Obama Threatens Soldiers' Pay as U.S. Hits New Debt Ceiling -- Tell Congress to Say NO to Obama's Political Games:https://secure.conservativedonations.com/rm_militarypay/?a=6164

ALERT: Our bloated government has
once again hit a new debt ceiling... a $14.3 TRILLION debt ceiling, "triggering a series of 'extraordinary measures' to stave off a default while politicians argue over raising the borrowing limit."

And guess what one of the "extraordinary measures" that these politicians are going to allow to "trigger" is?

MILITARY SALARIES. AGAIN.

You read that right: according to reports in the Air Force Times, "Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told Congress on Monday the government is borrowing money from government trust funds and delaying some payments to keep spending through Aug. 2. At that point, the government would go into default. One of the things that might not be covered is military salaries, Treasury officials have warned."

Did you get that? The American people have practically been SCREAMING at our government for weeks now, demanding that they stop playing political games with our soldiers' paychecks... but apparently, they still don't get it.

Well, they'd BETTER get it -- RIGHT NOW!

There have been AT LEAST ELEVEN BILLS introduced in Congress, trying to STOP the Obama regime from using our military families as a political tool to force Congress to allow the government to spend MORE AND MORE AND MORE taxpayer dollars. H.R. 1551, H.R. 1297, H.R. 1442, H.R. 1469, H.R. 1494, H.R. 1508, S. 721, S. 724, S. 774, S. 777, S. 855... all designed to guarantee that the paychecks for our brave men and women in the U.S. armed forces would not be stopped.

Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) is among the lawmakers seeking to reassure service members and their families that they won't miss out on any of the pay that's owed to them, even if the government faces a financial crisis this summer. In the wake of Monday's announcement that the U.S. has reached its latest debt limit -- and is now using extraordinary means to keep paying bills -- Rep. Hunter is urging quick passage of the bill he introduced to guarantee military pay.

(Hunter's bill is H.R. 1551, the "Guarantee Paychecks for America's Military Families Act," which would guarantee that military members, and federal civilians working in combat zones, would continue to be paid even if the government runs out of money or there is a lapse in federal funding. It currently has 7 co-sponsors in the House, though there are other bills that have large numbers of co-sponsors.)

But politicians IN BOTH PARTIES are holding up any progress for these bills, as reported in the press:
"House leaders have made no promises to pass Hunter's bill, nor any of the several similar bills that also would protect military pay in case the government runs out of money. If pay protection is granted, it is likely to be done at the last second, because the threat of not paying troops is a powerful motivation to get a debt ceiling agreement... Service members and their families already suffered through a threat to their pay in April, when a government shutdown was avoided at literally the last hour. After that, Hunter -- a Marine veteran -- said he doesn't want military families to worry again while Congress and the White House try to negotiate an increase in the debt ceiling."
Yes, that's what it said: "If pay protection is granted, it is likely to be done at the last second, because the threat of not paying troops is a powerful motivation to get a debt ceiling agreement."

The livelihood of the families of our soldiers is now nothing more than "a powerful motivation to get a debt ceiling agreement."

THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS!
