HARRY REID RENEGES ON ANOTHER PROMISE! (WHAT - AGAIN?)

Dear Patriot,

Yesterday, Harry Reid and his statist allies pushed the Fourth Amendment further into the shredder by voting to move forward on extending the so-called "Patriot" Act for another four years.

Click here to see how your senators voted.

Despite Monday's outcome, this fight is only just beginning.  A final Senate vote on S. 1038 could come as soon as Thursday, giving C4L members extra time to generate a tidal wave of grassroots opposition.

Senator Rand Paul, who is refusing to be discouraged by the opposition to freedom in the Senate, has proposed a series of amendments to S. 1038 that Harry Reid will need to address in the coming days.

You see, during Reid's attempt to rush the "Patriot" Act through the Senate back in February, he stated in the Congressional Record that he would allow an open amendment process and a week of debate in order to secure the 90-day extension.

Though Reid has clearly stepped back from the full week of debate, it remains to be seen if he'll allow an open amendment process.

This is where the liberty movement can have tremendous impact!

Please contact Harry Reid at 202-224-3542 and demand he allow an open amendment process to S. 1038, as he promised his fellow senators on February 15, 2011.

Senate procedure will require Harry Reid to reach another 60-vote threshold before cutting off debate and proceeding to the vote on final passage.

After you've contacted Harry Reid, please give your senators a call through the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 to request they support a full and open amendment process.  Urge them to vote against reauthorization on the next cloture vote and final passage.

Rand Paul's not giving up the fight, and neither is Campaign for Liberty.

You and I still have a chance to defeat the four-year extension of the so-called "Patriot" Act, but only if we take IMMEDIATE action!

Americans are tired of being spied on and being told they just need to accept it as a condition for their "safety."

Unfortunately, most politicians in D.C. still haven't gotten the memo.

Can I count on you to take action today in defense of our civil liberties?  Please contact your senators TODAY at 202-224-3121 and make sure they know you want them to oppose S. 1038.

After you've taken action, please forward this email to your liberty-minded friends and family.  Only through the swift actions of TRUE PATRIOTS can we defeat the misnamed "Patriot" Act.

Make sure your senators know that a vote for cloture on S. 1038 is a vote against the Constitution and the fundamental liberties that made this country great!

Remember friends, without the rout at Lexington, there could have been no victory at Concord Bridge.

In Liberty,

John Tate
President

P.S.  Your immediate action is vital to halting another long-term extension of the so-called "Patriot" Act.  Harry Reid and his statist allies could hold the final vote on S. 1038 as soon as this Thursday!

Contact your senators at 202-224-3121 and demand they oppose any extension of the "Patriot" Act.
