STOP CONGRESS FROM 'KOW-TOWING' TO UNIONS!

Dear Conservatives,

Over the last week, your faxes, emails, and phone calls poured into Capitol Hill offices urging your U.S. Representative to oppose Big Labor's amendment to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) bill.

On Friday, your dedicated action paid off. The LaTourette/Costello amendment to the FAA bill (H.R. 658) failed 220 to 206.

This vote was absolutely critical because it was the first real test on forced unionism in the new Congress. Had the amendment passed, a key pro-worker freedom provision in the bill would have been removed.

Did your U.S. Representative stand up for employee freedom or bow down to the union hierarchy?

Every Democrat and the following 16 Republicans failed that test by voting to protect the Obama National Mediation Board's (NMB) rule change tilting union certification elections in favor of the union bosses in the railway and airline industries:

Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-21), Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08), Chris Gibson (NY-20), Michael Grimm (NY-13), Tim Johnson (IL-15), Walter Jones (NC-03), Peter King (NY-03), Steven LaTourette (OH-14), Frank LoBiondo (NJ-02), Todd Platts (PA-19), Dave Reichert (WA-08), David Rivera (FL-25), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL-18), Jon Runyan (NJ-03), Chris Smith (NJ-04), and Don Young (AK, at-large).

If your Congressman voted in favor of the amendment, please contact them and insist they stop kowtowing to Big Labor.

But more importantly, it's crucial you contact House Republican Leadership and urge them not to back down now.

You see, the U.S. House and Senate have passed different versions of the FAA reauthorization bill, and only the House version overturns the rogue Obama agency's rule change.

Sec. 903 of the House FAA bill (H.R. 658) overturns the Obama NMB bureaucratic power grab -- rammed through by two former union officials -- aimed at greasing the skids for the forced unionization of airline and railway workers.

It's vital House Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor fight to keep that provision in the bill during conference committee.

Call Speaker Boehner at (202) 225-0600 or send him an email and call Majority Leader Cantor at (202) 225-4000 or send him an email. Urge them to continue fighting to repeal the Obama NMB's union certification election rule change.

Thank you for your continued action.

Sincerely,

Mark Mix

P.S. On Friday, the U.S. House of Representatives voted 220 to 206 against Big Labor's amendment to the FAA bill (H.R. 658), which would have stripped from the bill a key pro-worker freedom provision repealing the Obama NMB's union certification election rule change.

Call Speaker John Boehner at (202) 225-0600 or send him an email and call Majority Leader Eric Cantor at (202) 225-4000 or send him an email. Urge them to fight to keep that provision in the bill when the conference committee reconciles the House and Senate versions.
