DEMOCRATS OWN THE BLAME - LOCK, STOCK, and BARREL

Slow 'er Down!
by Dustin Stockton

A government slowdown is looming, and liberals are rolling out the same old fear mongering.  It seems they will say or do anything to prevent the spending cuts that could save our country.  They expect the American people to ignore some critical facts in order to place the blame on “extreme” (as they were instructed to say) Tea Partiers.  This time we are watching, and this time the American people will know who deserves the blame.
First, this debate is only happening because a Democrat-controlled House, Senate, and President didn’t have the political courage to pass a budget on time before the 2010 midterm elections.  They knew that the majority of American voters would reject their reckless policies if they showed their hand before a critical election.

Second, it is the Democrat-controlled Senate that has failed to pass a budget; the House has already passed a budget.
Third, a government slowdown is not a government shutdown, and the Obama administration has the power to decide what government services are considered “essential.”  If seniors are harmed by a government SLOWDOWN, it is only because the President and his liberal allies decided to make a reckless political point on the backs of seniors.
If Obama and the Democrats refuse to pass a budget with significant budget cuts, the Republicans should not hesitate to SLOWDOWN the government.  Forcing Obama to publically decide which federal programs are essential is a great way to find the places that should be cut.
