JOBS, NATIONAL DEBT - OVER OUR GOVERNMENT'S HEAD

Playing Politics As America Looks for JOBS

by Lee S Gliddon Jr

Americans are desperately seeking employment as the Democrats seek to belittle any and all efforts of Republicans to assist in the increase of employment. Instead of being creative and looking for ways to get jobs for citizens Democrats are constantly seeking to smear, demean and outright lie to remain in office rather than displaying a 'can do' attitude.

In November 2010 their was a vote. Americans concerned with lack of employment and a outrageous rise in our national deficit voted in a huge group of new Republican Congressmen and women thinking there would be a solution to both employment and the deficit. Rather than a solution being arrived to either the Democrats 'dug in.'

Republicans made demands for the extension of tax breaks in hopes of seeing a rise in employment. Their hopes were dashed, along with job seekers, as the head Democrat, Obama, was quick to go on television and say, "This battle is not over. We (Democrats) are going to renew this battle as we seek to eradicate the Bush Tax Bill and put that to rest."

Not to be outdone, Harry Reid, Senate Majority Leader, quickly gave notice of his intent to deny any and all attempts to rein in spending and redouble his efforts to deny any cuts that would lessen the national deficit.

As if on cue Obama gave notice of imposing further regulations on businesses that would deny any increase employment. As he did he made a series of television spots saying exactly the opposite of the truth to deceive the American Public. Just as he lied about the Gulf Oil spill as he said, "we were on it from the very first day," his lies related to employment increase daily!

"If we do not enact the Stimulus Bill unemployment will soar. With the Stimulus Bill being enacted unemployment will not rise above 8%." Those were Obama's words to an anxious nation.

Unemployment has soared! Where our government reports it to be in the 9.3% range, were it reported truthfully, the range of 17.6% would be a bit lower than what it really is!

With all this being so one would think that Congress would actually do something constructive. Well, the only thing being done constructively is Democrats labeling Republicans as 'extremists' or 'irresponsible' for offering suggestions for both methods of increasing jobs as well as budget cutting.

On cue, a Democrat Representative went on television saying, "There exists no reason to seek any reforms in Social Security as their is enough money IN INTEREST in the SOCIAL SECURITY TRUST FUND to pay all that America owes anyone!

If this is the type of men and women who have been elected to run this country we will NEVER, I repeat NEVER, see reasonable unemployment and will NEVER realize a budget reduction.

If the Democrats will not stop their continual lust for power and return to sanity, either they will be unseated or America is going to cease Io exist as a free nation!
